Lie 1) Bible- JWs own personal translation of the Bible is the final authority. The New World Translation, published in 1961 is the leader's interpretation of the Bible. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.

lie 2) Trinity-. JWs believe that God is not a triune God, but only "Jehovah God". Matthew 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, babtizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Lie 3)Jesus Christ- JW's do not believe in the Trinity, they also do not believe that Jesus is God in the flesh. I John 4:2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God,

Lie 4) Resurrection of Christ . No bodily resurrection of Christ. The body of Christ was annihilated by God, not risen, but rather a new one was created three days after His death.1 Corinthians 15:3-4 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,

Lie 5) Salvation- Everlasting life is a reward for doing the will of God and carrying out one's dedication. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Lie 6) Body of Christ/ The Church- The members of the spiritual Body of Christ, or "Christian Congregation," number only 144,000 (Rev. 7:4-8) Romans 10:13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Lie 7) The Second Coming- Had taken place invisibly in October 1874, and the Lord was truly present, and that in 1914 the faithful (the 144,000) would be translated to heaven and the wicked destroyed. Armageddon (which began in 1874) would culminate in 1914 with the complete overthrow of earth's rulers and the end of the world. Matthew 7:15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.

Lie 8) Annihilation of the Wicked. The "second death" is annihilation and extinction. The wicked will cease to exist and will not suffer everlasting torment. Revelation 20:15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. also Rev.20:10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Lie 9) Soul Sleep.The soul is not immortal. The soul can't exist apart from the body, The corpse remains in an unconscious state in the grave waiting for the resurrection. 2 Corinthians 5:6-9 6 So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9 So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him.

Lie 10) God the Father. Known as Jehovah, the Watchtower considers Him to be the only true eternal God, the Almighty. They write, "There was, therefore, a time when Jehovah was all alone in universal space" . Being alone, the first creative act of Jehovah was to create His Son. John 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life, [1] and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
