Lie 1) Forgiveness of Sin- By Baptism all sins are forgiven, original sin and all personal sins, as well as all punishment for sin. In those who have been reborn nothing remains that would impede their entry into the Kingdom of God, neither Adam's sin, nor personal sin, nor the consequences of sin, the gravest of which is separation from God. Catechism Paragraph #1263. Acts 10:43 To him(Jesus) all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name Ephesians 1:5 he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will.

Lie 2) Sanctification & New Life - Baptism not only purifies from all sins, but also makes the neophyte "a new creature," an adopted son of God, who has become a "partaker of the divine nature," member of Christ and co-heir with him, and a temple of the Holy Spirit Catechism Paragraph #1265 Salvation comes from God alone; but because we receive the life of faith through the Church, she is our mother: "We believe the Church as the mother of our new birth, and not in the Church as if she were the author of our salvation." Because she is our mother, she is also our teacher in the faith. Lie 3) Prayer to God- Mary is the perfect Orans (pray-er), a figure of the Church. When we pray to her, we are adhering with her to the plan of the Father, who sends his Son to save all men. Like the beloved disciple we welcome Jesus' mother into our homes, for she has become the mother of all the living. We can pray with and to her. The prayer of the Church is sustained by the prayer of Mary and united with it in hope. Catechism #2679 John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. Lie 4) Prayer for the Dead (salvation after death) This teaching is also based on the practice of prayer for the dead, already mentioned in Sacred Scripture: "Therefore [Judas Maccabeus] made atonement for the dead, that they might be delivered from their sin." From the beginning the Church has honored the memory of the dead and offered prayers in suffrage for them, above all the Eucharistic sacrifice, so that, thus purified, they may attain the beatific vision of God. The Church also commends almsgiving, indulgences, and works of penance undertaken on behalf of the dead:Catechism Paragraph #1032 Romans 9:22-23 What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, 23 in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory.

Lie 5) Pergatory (afterlife) - All who die in God's grace and friendship, but still imperfectly purified, are indeed assured of their eternal salvation; but after death they undergo purification, so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven.Catechism Paragraph #1030 The Church gives the name Purgatory to this final purification of the elect, which is entirely different from the punishment of the damned. The Church formulated her doctrine of faith on Purgatory especially at the Councils of Florence and Trent. The tradition of the Church, by reference to certain texts of Scripture, speaks of a cleansing fire:Catechism paragraph #1031 1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, 1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. Lie 6) Worship-One of the largest lies of the Catholic Church, is their necessity of idol worship. Thus trading in the truth of our only hope and need, being in God. This is the opposite of faith.They are worshiping the creature and not the Creator( Romans 1:25 because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen).

The following are some of the many idols they worship and some scripture in refutation of this idolatry.

1)Mary as mother of Heaven (as well as idolizing and praying to many other dead saints)- adoring her, talking to her, praying to her, bowing to her statues=worship which is idolatry. Exodus 20:3 You shall have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:4-5a You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God

2)The Rosary Beads-There are fifteen promises that are claimed to be from Mary, to encourage the"counting and praying" over the beads=more Mary worship. Matthew 6:7-13 7 “And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. 9 Pray then like this:“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. 10 Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread, 12 and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

The Fifteen Promises of Mary to Christians Who Recite the Rosary = Lies
I. Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the rosary, shall receive signal graces. Ephesians 2:8-10 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

III. The rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies. 2 Corinthians 10:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.
IV. It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the heart of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means. 1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
V. The soul which recommend itself to me by the recitation of the rosary, shall not perish. James 4:10 Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you.
VI. Whoever shall recite the rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, he shall not by an unprovided death; if he be just he shall remain in the grace of God, and become worthy of eternal life. IX. I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the rosary. 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus
X. The faithful children of the rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in heaven. Romans 11:6 But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace. Romans 2:11 For God shows no partiality. (Rewards are a gift of grace even the best of our own works are infected with our sin.)
XI. You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the rosary. John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
XII. All those who propagate the holy rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities. Ephesians 2:8-9 (as above)
XIII. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death.Ephesians 2:8-9
XIV. All who recite the rosary are my son, and brothers of my only son Jesus Christ. Romans 10:13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
XV. Devotion of my rosary is a great sign of predestination. Ephesians 1:4-5 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. 3) The Sacraments- The Catholics maintain that these sacraments are necessary, but not all are necessary for each person. For example, Holy orders would only be necessary for those in Church leadership. (The Bible says that Christ instituted only two ordinances, Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Read Matthew 28:19-20; 26:26-28)

1 - Baptism cleanses from original sin, removes other sin and its punishment, provides spiritual rebirth or regeneration, begins the process of justification, and is necessary for salvation. Revelation 1:5 and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. 2 - Confirmation bestows the Holy Spirit on the Catholic, leading to an increasing of sanctifying grace and the gifts of the Holy Spirit as well as other spiritual power and a sealing to the Catholic Church. Acts 15:8 And God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them, by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us Titus 3:5 he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, Hebrews 2:4 while God also bore witness by signs and wonders and various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will. 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; 5 and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; 6 and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. Romans 6:22-23 22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the fruit you get leads to sanctification and its end, eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

3 - Penance removes the penalty of sins committed after baptism and confirmation. Thus, mortal (deadly) sins are remitted and the justification lost by such sins is restored as a continuing process. 1 John 1:7-8 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

4 - Holy Eucharist is where Christ is resacrificed and the benefits of Calvary are continually applied anew to the believer. Hebrews 6:4-6 4 For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt.
John 19:28-30 28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said (to fulfill the Scripture), “I thirst.” 29 A jar full of sour wine stood there, so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a hyssop branch and held it to his mouth. 30 When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

5 - Marriage is where grace is given to remain in the bonds of matrimony in dictates with the requirements of the Catholic Church. Genesis 2:24 Matthew 19:5 Mark 10:7 Ephesians 5:31 Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

6 - Anointing the sick (formerly extreme unction) bestows grace on those who are sick, old, or near death and helps in forgiveness of sins and sometimes the physical healing of the body. James 5:14-16 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. Romans 5:2 Through him (Jesus)we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God James 4:6 But he (God) gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

7) Holy orders confers special grace and spiritual power upon bishops, priests, and deacons for leadership in the Church as representatives of Christ for all eternity. James 4:6 But he (God) gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

Lie7) Father-all priests and bishops are called "Father" Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven

Lie 8 & 9) Marriage and Food - Priests , Bishops, and Pope are forbidden to marry and impose laws against eating meat on certain days for all Catholics.1 Timothy 4:1-5 4:1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, 2 through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, 3 who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4 For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer.

1 Timothy 6:12- Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
